On the morning of May 8, 2019, CWA gave notice to the management of AT&T Mobility that we are exercising our right to terminate the Green Contract in 72 hours. That doesn't mean we are going on strike, but it means we are one step closer. The Union did this because the Company refused to bargain a fair contract.

Your CWA Bargaining Team and the Company met with the Company on Friday 26 and Saturday April 27 with the hopes of achieving a contract. The Company passed a new package and the Union presented more than 20 proposals expecting AT&T to review them and return to the table seriously with the real intent of securing a new fair contract.

CWA Local 3640 Representing American Airlines Reservations Agents in Winston Salem, NC attended the District 3 Conference in Savannah, GA. February 24-27, 2019.We were given the opportunity to say our farewells to John Quinn, District 3 Counsel. He will be retiring but promised us he would bring his bagpipes back!!

Today, your CWA Bargaining Team and the Company met. In less than 24 hours the Company rejected our last proposals, that included substantial wage increases, changes to our charge backs languages, limitations on subcontracting and other changes based on the almost 1,000 suggestions we received from our members. The Company then presented a new “package proposal” that continues to be an insult to our members that helped bring the amazing $45 billion in revenue to AT&T.

Your CWA Bargaining Team and the Company met this afternoon. In the morning, your Bargaining Committee participated in a rally at the AT&T Shareholders meeting and met with several key decision makers. We explained our struggles and our needs for a good and fair contract. We spoke with AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson and with AT&T Communications CEO John Donovan who challenged us to stay with the Company’s Committee until an agreement can be settled.
