2015 CWA ATT Utility Operations Bargaining Report #5

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company and passed additional proposals regarding layoff and termination allowances in Article 6 and Article 3. We also passed a proposal to include the Panel process in the contract and had much discussion around the current issues with the grievance process.

The Chief Negotiator for the Company, Keith Halpern will not be available during the week of August 3, 2015 so your Bargaining Committee and the Company have signed an Extension Agreement to continue under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement through September 18, 2015.

Your bargaining team met with the company today. The company rejected proposals that would improve language around penalty pay for scheduling and a guaranteed number of weekends off. They also rejected proposals around connecting overtime, service requirements and polling before forcing overtime.
