January 7, 2016 --- The Bargaining Committee met today with the Company and were presented with a detailed look at how territories are created. There still are some questions that we have regarding the process and how the transition will affect our existing members.

January 6, 2016 -- The Bargaining Committee met today with the Company and revisited the plan to divide all markets into territories, specifically market segmentation, territory management, assignment criteria and quota management.

The committee met today and discussed the compensation plan. The next scheduled meeting is January 6th. The committee wishes everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The Bargaining Committee met today with Julie Bunn, who has replaced Brian Street on the proposed Sales Compensation plan.

The Bargaining Committee met with the company today (December 21st) to discuss the proposed new compensation plan. We have several questions regarding the proposed roles and responsibilities of the new sales titles. Other issues discussed were the proposed implementation timeline, the recent announcement of Brian Street (comp plan architect) leaving the company for other endeavors, and naming of his replacement, Julie Bunn.

The Print Media bargaining unit has overwhelming voted to ratify their contract, with 100% of the members casting ballots, voting in favor of ratification.

The Bargaining Committee began the day discussing Union Proposal #5 which would allow new hires to accrue Personal Paid Time (PPT) beginning on the first day of employment at the rate of 1.45 hours per pay period.

We met with Company this afternoon and began discussions over where the negotiations currently stand and what are the dates planned for the remainder of the year.

Contract coverage for the Print Media contract will be held on Tuesday December 1, at 6:30PM at the CWA District Office. The address is 3516 Covington Highway, Decatur, GA 30032

There is a light at the end of the tunnel! It has been brought to the attention of the Bargaining Committee that there is some confusion on where negotiations are with the Company ? we hope that this update clears some of the confusion.

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 11th) and the Company agreed to withdraw proposals pertaining to changes in language regarding Vacations, Vacation Treatment for Employees Leaving the Service, Absences Excused with Pay, Sickness Payments Prior to Eligibility under STD, Suspensions and Discharges, Promotions, Transfers, Job Vacancies and Places of Reporting, Job Descriptions Titles and Classifications, Pensions and Benefits Payroll Dues Deductions, and Compensatory Overtime.

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 10th) and the Company agreed to withdraw three proposals pertaining to Pay and Compensation (Article 4).

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 3rd) and discussed changes to the current healthcare benefits. The Company has proposed to revise healthcare benefits for our members in order to align the plan with those currently being offered to non-bargained employees/managers.

There have been numerous inquiries as to where we are with bargaining and why it appears to be taking more time than in previous contract years and this update is being provided to clear up some of the confusion.

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 2) and once again discussed their proposal to change language in Article 7 and in Article 8. It has become more apparent that the Company is not willing to resolve this sticking point in a manner that is acceptable to your Bargaining Committee.

Monday, September 28, 2015 -- The Bargaining Committee met with the company today and discussed the Company?s proposed changes to Article 7 Force Adjustments. The Company is determined to revise the language in Article 7 so as to side step seniority rights in the event of a surplus.

Both YP and PM bargaining are in recess this week and will resume on September 28th. The company has presented many retrogressive proposals at both tables.

YP and PM Bargaining have recessed until September 28, 2015. As a result of these recesses both contracts have been extended until the end of October. Further updates will be posted after September 28.
