January 7, 2016 --- The Bargaining Committee met today with the Company and were presented with a detailed look at how territories are created. There still are some questions that we have regarding the process and how the transition will affect our existing members.

2016 CWA YP Bargaining Report # 14

January 6, 2016 -- The Bargaining Committee met today with the Company and revisited the plan to divide all markets into territories, specifically market segmentation, territory management, assignment criteria and quota management.

2015 CWA YP Bargaining Report # 11

The Bargaining Committee met with the company today (December 21st) to discuss the proposed new compensation plan. We have several questions regarding the proposed roles and responsibilities of the new sales titles. Other issues discussed were the proposed implementation timeline, the recent announcement of Brian Street (comp plan architect) leaving the company for other endeavors, and naming of his replacement, Julie Bunn.

Print Media Ratification

The Print Media bargaining unit has overwhelming voted to ratify their contract, with 100% of the members casting ballots, voting in favor of ratification.

The Bargaining Committee began the day discussing Union Proposal #5 which would allow new hires to accrue Personal Paid Time (PPT) beginning on the first day of employment at the rate of 1.45 hours per pay period.

Contract coverage for the Print Media contract will be held on Tuesday December 1, at 6:30PM at the CWA District Office. The address is 3516 Covington Highway, Decatur, GA 30032

Directions: From Northlake take I 285 south (towards Augusta) Exit at Memorial Drive and turn right. Go to Covington Highway and turn left. CWA will be on the left. (across from O'Reilly Auto Parts)

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 11th) and the Company agreed to withdraw proposals pertaining to changes in language regarding Vacations, Vacation Treatment for Employees Leaving the Service, Absences Excused with Pay, Sickness Payments Prior to Eligibility under STD, Suspensions and Discharges, Promotions, Transfers, Job Vacancies and Places of Reporting, Job Descriptions Titles and Classifications, Pensions and Benefits Payroll Dues Deductions, and Compensatory Overtime.
