2015 CWA ATT SE Bargaining Report #15

Your Bargaining Team convened at the main today. We rejected the company?s proposals to severely restrict night differential and to remove language that relies on development as an alternative to discipline in Consumer Services, Finance and Small Business. The team also rejected the company?s proposal to force technicians on mandatory stand-by.

We proposed correcting seniority dates for former part-time employees, extending Article 7 rights, and several letters of agreement that we believe are beneficial to our member i.e. preserving pension band consideration, job offer guarantee and JLA.

Today your committee met with the company and proposed excused time for Partnership, a true layoff process for temporary employees, relief between tours, stronger connecting and callout overtime language, expansion of bridging seniority, expansion of ESIPP, election training payment and protecting vacation time.

2015 CWA AT&T SE Bargaining Report #5

Your committee met with the company today. The Union proposed improvements to employees? availability of paid time off, the reduction of forced overtime, and more family time off on the weekends. The Union also proposed improvements to multilingual positions and an expansion to the definition of immediate family.

AT&T - Legacy T and Puerto Rico Contracts Ratified By A Large Margin

The tentative agreement between CWA and AT&T Corp. (Legacy T) has been ratified by a 77% ?yes? vote. A separate Contract for AT&T Puerto Rico was also ratified by the members there. This was an extremely difficult round of bargaining with demands from AT&T that would have frozen the pensions of future retirees, eliminate pensions for new hires and greatly increased the amount our members pay for medical care.

Local 3204 - May 28, 2015 Rally

Local 3204 held a rally at the at&t Mobility Store in Buford, Georgia on Thursday May 28,2015 because the company discriminated against an employee due to him having Diabetes. The employee asked to be excused from work to go to the hospital, however his manager refused. He went to the hospital immediately after work and was admitted 4 days with 2 spent in the ICU. He nearly lost his life due to AT&T failing to excuse him from work. Upon his return to work he was terminated for his attendance. The company could have waived the 4 days absence giving the circumstances and chose not to.
