CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #41

The parties continued having productive meetings and dialogues on the main issues that remain on the table. But we are still extremely far on main issues such as job security, wages and benefits. We have made it crystal clear to the Company that Job Security is the top issue and we would not settle any contract if we do not ensure better protections for our future.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #42

By now you have seen the company’s latest very public “final offer.” While at face value the company’s final offer may seem reasonable to some there are many, many things that are there to mislead you and divide us. The Company knows the solidarity of the members in Puerto Rico, they know we deserve much more, but they are not willing to bargain fairly with your Union.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #40

Today the parties continued having productive meetings on the main issues that remain on the table. We have had some advancements in several topics but wages, health care and most importantly Job Security remain open and are the key items.
Thanks your mobilization efforts, the gap is closing and some progress has been made. Please continue to mobilize and let’s keep telling AT&T that we want a fair contract. We want to have a fair un

Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company today May 30th. The Union asked several questions regarding the Company’s proposed package of May 29th and engaged in a productive discussion over job security. CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #36

Your CWA Bargaining Committee flew to Dallas yesterday to meet today and prepare for bargaining. While we did not meet with the Company today, the Bargaining Team spent the day analyzing the data received and formulating new proposals, with the little answers we have received from AT&T. We are still wondering, what is AT&T hiding? Why are they not providing the much-needed data that will aid your Union in formulating proposals?

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #35

During the past few days, your CWA Bargaining Committee has been working analyzing the last pieces of information that we received from the Company. There is still a lot of outstanding information that the Company stills owes the Union that might jeopardize our chances to secure an agreement. If AT&T is really serious on getting a fair contract, why have they not provided all the requested information? What are they hiding?

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #34

After the Collective Bargaining Agreement expiration on May 11, the Company has started to reply to multiple information requests by the Union. Unfortunately, most of those requests remain partially or completely unfulfilled. Contrary to their claims, the Company is showing no urgency toward bargaining a fair contract.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #33

One of the main issues in the table is job security. We have been trying to get the company to recognize the importance that is for us to secure jobs now and in the future. We are the only contract in Mobility that represents a single location, Puerto Rico, this makes our challenges more unique. But we are not less than other contracts and we deserve equality.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #32

Last night’s Town Hall call was a great success with hundreds of members participating. The continue participation of the membership in mobilization gives great strength to the bargaining team and sends a very clear message to AT&T that we are united. CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #31

Since giving the 72-hour notice to terminate the contract, the Union has had extensive conversations with the Company. We remain extremely far apart at this time. The President of CWA can call a strike any time after the contract expires tomorrow morning, but as of now bargaining is set to resume in June 1st. We will continue to bargain as long as we believe progress is being made.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #30

As you know, yesterday CWA gave notice to the management of AT&T Mobility that we are exercising our right to terminate the Green Contract in 72 hours. The Union did this because the Company refused to bargain a fair contract. Today, the Company, in a desperate attempt to divide us, sent an email stating that “AT&T has made a comprehensive proposal to the union in order to reach a fair contract for the employees. You should know that

On the morning of May 8, 2019, CWA gave notice to the management of AT&T Mobility that we are exercising our right to terminate the Green Contract in 72 hours. That doesn't mean we are going on strike, but it means we are one step closer. The Union did this because the Company refused to bargain a fair contract.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #26

Today, your CWA Bargaining Team and the Company met. In less than 24 hours the Company rejected our last proposals, that included substantial wage increases, changes to our charge backs languages, limitations on subcontracting and other changes based on the almost 1,000 suggestions we received from our members. The Company then presented a new “package proposal” that continues to be an insult to our members that helped bring the amazing $45 billion in revenue to AT&T.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #23

As we mentioned in our last report, the Company posted record revenues and an excellent performance in the Mobility group of AT&T. But rather than settle for a fair contract, AT&T just sent an email slapping our members in the face with the $45 billion 1Q revenue. Yet at the same time, AT&T’s last proposal called for all members that participate in the pension plan to have their pension frozen.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #22

Today our members took their anger and frustration against the unfairness of AT&T to the streets! Members in the Call Centers wear their shirts and Network and RSC’s proudly showed their pin with a clear message: We won’t back down! Many thanks to the Unions in Puerto Rico that supported us and to the membership, specially the PR AFL-CIO, the OPEIU and UPAGRA for their solidarity!

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #21

One of the most important issues in this bargaining is health care. After many years of overpaying for health care (we had members paying for many years between 35% – 50% of the total health care cost) in 2016, we were successful in reducing such contributions. During this round of bargaining, we expressed AT&T our commitment to keep the current health care contribution rules that have proven to be successful and equitable.

CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #20

Your CWA Bargaining Team and the Company continue to talk with the hopes to achieve the collective bargain agreement that we all deserve and expect. One of the issues that we have a huge disagreement with the Company is the current wage proposal. In their last package, AT&T proposed a 1.25%; 1.50%, 1.25% and 1.50% totaling 5.5% 5.5% over four years, half of what was bargained for the Mobility Orange and Black Agreements.
