Take Action to Stop AT&T?s Latest Proposals To Shift Health Care Costs to Workers

As you know it has been 46 days since contracts with AT&T Legacy T; AT&T Midwest (Ameritech); AT&T West (PACBELL); AT&T Northeast (SNET) expired. The AT&T Southeast (BellSouth) contract will expire on August 4, 2012. Little progress is being made at the bargaining table. Despite its enormous profits, AT&T is trying to shift approximately $3,800 more in health care costs to workers.

314 ATT Mobility retail employees in Mississippi join CWA

CWA District 3 reports that on May 14, 2012 the American Arbitration Association certifies that a majority of the AT&T Retail Stores for Mississippi Bargaining Unit, wish to be represented by the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, for the purpose of collective bargaining. There is a total of 314 employees in this unit.

Activists Rally Against VeriGreedy Verizon

A coalition of Locals from District 3 descended on Verizon's annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, May 3, protesting the company's excessive corporate greed and war against the middle class. Protesters from the 99 Percent Spring Coalition came from as far away as New Orleans and New York City to rally in front the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala.

Officers and members of Local 3250 spent Saturday night at the Local showing support for their Bargaining Team in Washington. The contract was set to expire at midnight on Saturday night. An agreement has not been reached and at this time, CWA members at AT&T Legacy will continue to work, though that can change at any time.
