As you know it has been 46 days since contracts with AT&T Legacy T; AT&T Midwest (Ameritech); AT&T West (PACBELL); AT&T Northeast (SNET) expired. The AT&T Southeast (BellSouth) contract will expire on August 4, 2012. Little progress is being made at the bargaining table. Despite its enormous profits, AT&T is trying to shift approximately $3,800 more in health care costs to workers.

CWA District 3 reports that on May 14, 2012 the American Arbitration Association certifies that a majority of the AT&T Retail Stores for Mississippi Bargaining Unit, wish to be represented by the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, for the purpose of collective bargaining. There is a total of 314 employees in this unit.

Bargaining has become increasingly more difficult in recent times especially since the ATT takeover. In order to secure the best contract possible we must be assured that our members support bargaining and are willing to engage in activities that will give us leverage at the bargaining table.

A coalition of Locals from District 3 descended on Verizon's annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, May 3, protesting the company's excessive corporate greed and war against the middle class. Protesters from the 99 Percent Spring Coalition came from as far away as New Orleans and New York City to rally in front the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala.

Your bargaining team, consisting of Bill Eberhardt, Paul Gallant, Bob Kelley, and Greg Douglas met with the company on May 1st, 2nd, 2012.

The Premise Tech Bargaining Team met in caucus on April 25, 2012 preparing to meet with the Company.

As the At&T Legacy T contract expired April 7, members around the country prepared for a Midnight Strike. When the word came down from the bargaining team that we will continue to work without a contract while negotiations continue; MOBILIZATION PHASE 3 kicked into action

Officers and members of Local 3250 spent Saturday night at the Local showing support for their Bargaining Team in Washington. The contract was set to expire at midnight on Saturday night. An agreement has not been reached and at this time, CWA members at AT&T Legacy will continue to work, though that can change at any time.

Members of Local 3108 in Orlando rallied for a fair and justice contract on April 3, 2012. The contract expires on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at midnight.

After several conference calls the Premise Technicians Bargaining Team will return to Atlanta on April 24th to make final preparations

The union and company have considered many issues today and have a TA on most all proposals except economic and Healthcare issues.

We did TA several more issues today.

Today we did reach a few Tenative Agreements on a few of the proposals. The first was adding another day to Bereavement leave for immediate family members to 5 scheduled work days.

We met with the company this morning around 8:30 A.M. We started with the company giving us 20 proposals we then gave the company our 23 proposals.

The CWA Committee and the Company Committee met on Saturday, March 3, 2012, and continued working through the night. On Sunday, March 4, the Union Committee continued negotiations with the Company and reached a tentative agreement. Listed below are some of the details of the tentative agreement:

CWA District 6 started bargaining with AT&T Mobility on January 31, 2012.

Bargaining for AT&T Legacy T, SNET (District 1), Ameritech (District 4) and PacBell (District 9) kicked off today.

German and US workers came together for a week of discussion and action to help T-Mobile USA workers gain CWA representation.

Although we have not reached an agreement on a full PT contract, we have agreed upon several issues while continuing to bargain.
