Today we are opening up 2015 bargaining between Yellow Pages, Print Media LLC and Communications Workers of America in District Three. This is going to be an opportunity for YP, the largest yellow pages in the world, and Print Media to do the right thing and take care of our members, the ones who are the face of this company and the ones that drive the revenue. CWA understands that in order for our members to succeed, that the company has to be profitable, but this does not have to happen on the backs of our members.

July 21, 2015 - Today your Bargaining Committee met with representatives from Print Media LLC. Opening statements were delivered by both sides, representing CWA was District 3 Vice-President Richard Honeycutt who clearly delivered a message to the Company that it is not the Union?s intention to ?give? anymore and that the Company should and must negotiate a fair and equitable contract that takes into consideration the concessions that were made during the 2012 bargaining session and the contributions of our members that contributed to the success of the company.

Your bargaining team met at the Common Interest Table and in Sub-Committee today. We proposed to bring the Utilities Operations into the Core Contract. We also had some productive talks around work rules, vacation availability, temporary employees, Article 10 transfers, and mechanization of requests for paid time off.

Your Bargaining Committee met today (July 20, 2015) to prepare for our contract negotiations with YP Holdings.

Your bargaining team met in sub-committee today. We also got the opportunity to visit with the Atlanta Learning Center and be briefed on the satellite installation process.

Your Bargaining Team convened at the main today. We rejected the company?s proposals to severely restrict night differential and to remove language that relies on development as an alternative to discipline in Consumer Services, Finance and Small Business. The team also rejected the company?s proposal to force technicians on mandatory stand-by.

Windstream-Kentucky members ratified their contract, which affects approximately 250 members.

The Utility Operations Bargaining Committee met yesterday and today to review the bargaining suggestions submitted by our members. We also submitted data requests to the Company and are waiting for their response.

Your Bargaining Team caucused today and designed our blueprint to deal with and succeed in negotiations. Be assured that every one of the team and sub-committee members is dedicated to not only winning this battle, but winning the war.

Your Bargaining Team has been immersed in the subcommittee process. The company has implied that Wire Tech work is ?not very detailed? and customer satisfaction is the driving factor in the ?one truck roll? concept.

Your team met today at the bargaining table. We proposed protection for the Success Sharing Plan, an increase in pay for temporary transfers to a higher wage zone, and improvements to family of skills.

Meet The New CWA American Airlines Bargaining Team,

Locals are actively participating in Mobilization Activities to show support for their CWA ATT SE Bargaining Team. We need to keep the momentum going.

Your team met with the Company today at the bargaining table.

Your Bargaining Team faced the company today and continued to lay out our framework for success. We proposed correcting seniority dates for former part-time employees, extending Article 7 rights, and several letters of agreement that we believe are beneficial to our member i.e. preserving pension band consideration, job offer guarantee and JLA.

Today your committee met with the company and proposed excused time for Partnership, a true layoff process for temporary employees, relief between tours, stronger connecting and callout overtime language, expansion of bridging seniority, expansion of ESIPP, election training payment and protecting vacation time.

Your committee met with the company today. The Union proposed improvements to employees? availability of paid time off, the reduction of forced overtime, and more family time off on the weekends. The Union also proposed improvements to multilingual positions and an expansion to the definition of immediate family.

The tentative agreement between CWA and AT&T Corp. (Legacy T) has been ratified by a 77% ?yes? vote. A separate Contract for AT&T Puerto Rico was also ratified by the members there. This was an extremely difficult round of bargaining with demands from AT&T that would have frozen the pensions of future retirees, eliminate pensions for new hires and greatly increased the amount our members pay for medical care.
