The Union & Company met on Thurs 8/9. During the first part of the session the Company presented their proposed commission plan for the DTSR title. The Union had questions and concerns surrounding the DTSR plan, just as we have had for each sales title thus far.

The Union & Company met on Wed 8/8 and the majority of the session was spent discussing the Company proposed commission plan for the MAR title. We have some initial questions and concerns, but there are also positives to the proposed structure.

CWA D3 ATT SE Utility Operations Final Bargaining Report

As with the other contracts, the Utility Operations contract involved difficult bargaining. In light of the company?s position on economic issues, the bargaining team believes we achieved the best contract possible. This is a tentative agreement until ratified by majority vote of members voting in a secret ballot election. The Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends ratification of this agreement.

The Union & Company met on Tues 8/6 and just like yesterday, the majority of the session was spent discussing the Company proposed commission plan for the DASR title. After having a day to review the plan, we had many questions. Our questions were discussed and we also made some suggestions on improvements to the plan.

CWA District 9 Strike

As you may know, CWA members in District 9 have gone out on a two day Unfair Labor Practice Strike against their Core AT&T Company. We have received some reports from the field that this has put our members in the position of having to deal with non-striking workers and managers which have crossed District 9 picket lines. We have informed AT&T SE that we consider this the equivalent of asking our members to cross a virtual or ?electronic? picket line.

The Bargaining Team is completing the final touches for a possible tentative agreement. The handshake issues must be formalized and checked for accuracy. Additional information will be available when this is completed. Accuracy is vital as all issues are resolved.

The Union & Company met on Monday 8/6. The majority of the session was spent discussing the Company proposed commission plan for the DASR title. This is the first commission plan that we have been presented with and discussed in any type of detail.

District 3 has a handshake on Tentative Agreements with the Company on all three 2012 Agreements. Issues have been worked out in sub-committees but still need to be finalized on the record at the Bargaining Table.

CWA D3 ATT SE Bargaining - Explanation on Contract Extension

The contract has been extended for five days while CWA's Bargaining Committee attempts to reach an agreement on a new contract. The significance of a contract extension is that the agreement stays in place so that there are no changes in any terms and conditions of employment - wages, benefits, or work rules. This includes the fact that we cannot strike and the company cannot lockout for the duration of the extension.

With the expiration of the working agreement quickly approaching the Union and the Company have been meeting well into the evening to attempt to secure an acceptable contract. Several proposals have been tentatively agreed but many issues having been discussed at length in both sub-committee and at the respective tables remain at issue.

The Union & Company have reached TA?s (tentative agreements) on some various issues. These issues mainly revolve around positions which no longer have active employees (i.e. DSAR) and clean up language removing AT&T and/or BellSouth in various places throughout the contract.
