Your Bargaining Team did meet with the Company on Aug 8th, but has not been back to the table today. The union passed more proposals to the company dealing with safety, benefits, wages, and surplus issues. We also continued to have discussions around the one-person bore issue. The company rejected several of the union proposals, with no counters or new proposals.

The company showed up at the bargaining table and seemed somewhat ready to negotiate today. We are working on constructing counter offers that make sense. On August 5th, 2015 CWA Staff Rep Bill Eberhardt, Local 3108 President Steve Wisniewski, Tracy McFadden and Kelly Sawyers negotiated a new four year contract for the GMP Retiree Trust.

The company seemed taken aback that we asked them to consider bringing premiums down. We explained that we expect our healthcare and benefits to be just as important as corporate profits.
