The union passed more proposals to the company dealing with safety, benefits, wages, and surplus issues. We also continued to have discussions around the one-person bore issue. The company rejected several of the union proposals, with no counters or new proposals.

The company showed up at the bargaining table and seemed somewhat ready to negotiate today. We are working on constructing counter offers that make sense. As we continue to work without a contract you will continue to be covered by the of the rules and protections that were in place before the contract expired.

On August 5th, 2015 CWA Staff Rep Bill Eberhardt, Local 3108 President Steve Wisniewski, Tracy McFadden and Kelly Sawyers negotiated a new four year contract for the GMP Retiree Trust.

Today we met with the Company and passed a counter proposal regarding their uniform and boot allowance proposal. There was much discussion around the need for a more generous Company contribution to both and we presented the results of our research to support our position.

The union and company met on Wednesday and exchanged additional proposals.
