Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company today and tentatively agreed to remove language from the contract pertaining to Daily Advertising Sales Representatives.

Your bargaining committee met late into the evening Tuesday.

We are scheduled to meet with AT&T this evening and into tonight in an attempt to make positive movement in these negotiations.

Today your bargaining team had several meetings with the Company.

Your Bargaining Team did meet with the Company on Aug 8th, but has not been back to the table today. The union passed more proposals to the company dealing with safety, benefits, wages, and surplus issues. We also continued to have discussions around the one-person bore issue. The company rejected several of the union proposals, with no counters or new proposals.

The company showed up at the bargaining table and seemed somewhat ready to negotiate today. We are working on constructing counter offers that make sense. As we continue to work without a contract you will continue to be covered by the of the rules and protections that were in place before the contract expired.

Your bargaining team has been diligently working to negotiate with the company. We have done everything possible to talk reasonably with them.

The 28,000 workers at AT&T Southeast, members of the Communications Workers of America, will work without a contract as their collective bargaining agreement expired at midnight tonight.

As our contract nears expiration, we are carefully considering our options.
