We have received a number of questions regarding the voting process for the ratification of the BST tentative agreement. Following is more detailed information.
A letter was mailed to each member on November 19, 2012 to explain the tentative agreement and to inform members of the upcoming ratification of the agreement. BallotPoint, who will be conducting the ratification for us, will mail voting instructions to members on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. The outside of the envelope will be clearly marked that it includes ratification information. Members will be able to vote via internet or telephone.
Ratification voting will be closed at 12:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, December 7, 2012. The results will be announced that afternoon.
Names of observers have been requested and BallotPoint will conduct a training session shortly after the ballots have been mailed.
Additional information will be sent out as it becomes necessary.
