Your Bargaining Team faced the company today and continued to lay out our framework for success. We proposed correcting seniority dates for former part-time employees, extending Article 7 rights, and several letters of agreement that we believe are beneficial to our member i.e. preserving pension band consideration, job offer guarantee and JLA. We proposed quota relief for Sales Consultants and a cap on the number of vendors that can be used. We also asked for an increase in flexible vacation days for employees in an inside environment. We proposed an update of the Safe Load Limit Guidelines in order to better match the company’s improved equipment.
The company proposed to remove language that protects observations in the call center environment. They want to reduce paid illness days to a maximum of 10 for all current employees and eliminate paid illness days for all new hires. The Company also proposed a cut in contract language that determines the instances that termination pay will be granted.
It is clear to your team the company’s parsimonious plans for their workforce are not in our best interest.
