2015 CWA AT&T SE Bargaining Report #5

Your committee met with the company today. The Union proposed improvements to employees’ availability of paid time off, the reduction of forced overtime, and more family time off on the weekends. The Union also proposed improvements to multilingual positions and an expansion to the definition of immediate family.

The company proposed a substantial expansion of the Wire Tech scope of work while remaining under the UFO Addendum. They proposed flexible wage credit for “tight labor markets” with no protection for incumbents in progression. In essence, the possibility of adding language to allow new hires to be paid at a higher rate than incumbent employees. The company also proposed a decimation of Article 14 and an attack on the contracting/no layoff clause in CPE.

Your team needs an increase in mobilization. Send a strong message to this rapacious company that outsourcing work is not the answer. Be vocal and wear BLUE on Monday!

We deserve better!

IT’S OUR TURN.
