Dear sisters and brothers:

After the Collective Bargaining Agreement expiration on May 11, the Company has started to reply to multiple information requests by the Union.  Unfortunately, most of those requests remain partially or completely unfulfilled.  Contrary to their claims, the Company is showing no urgency toward bargaining a fair contract. 

We continue focused and committed to reach a fair contract that provides for fair wages, good health care, benefits, commissions and above all of that, job security.  While AT&T is denying us a fair contract, they just started to hire new employees in their new call center in Mexico.  This 5,000-seat call center will not only handle customer care and business customer care, it will also handle retention, credit and collections, activations and technical support.  Services and support that were provided by our Call Center and little by little AT&T has removed form our centers, regardless of the JD Power Award and extraordinary customer service experience and performance we provided.   

Let’s show the company we are serious about our contract!  Get involved and contact your union steward, your Local leadership and your CWA bargaining committee if you have questions.  Remember we are visiting each location and are available to answer each and all of your questions.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:

Después de la expiración del Convenio Colectivo 11 de mayo, la Compañía comenzó a responder múltiples solicitudes de información por parte de la Unión. Desafortunadamente, la mayoría de esas “respuestas” permanecen parcial o totalmente incumplidas.  Contrario a sus comunicados, la Compañía no muestra ninguna urgencia para negociar un contrato justo.

Continuamos enfocados y comprometidos a alcanzar un contrato justo que proporcione salarios justos, buen plan médico, beneficios, comisiones y, sobre todo, seguridad de empleo. Mientras AT&T nos está negando un contrato justo, recién comenzaron a contratar empleados en su nuevo centro de llamadas en México. Este centro de llamadas de 5,000 asientos, no solo se encargará de la atención al cliente (incluyendo servicio al cliente corporativo), sino también de retención, crédito y los cobros, activaciones y apoyo técnico.  Todos esos, servicios y asistencia que proporcionó nuestro centro de llamadas en el pasado y que poco a poco AT&T ha ido eliminado, independientemente de la experiencia extraordinaria de servicio al cliente y el rendimiento que brindamos, que nos llevó a ganar el JD Power en varias ocasiones.

¡No te dejes engañar por la codicia corporativa! Participa y actívate, comuníquese con su representante sindical, el liderato de la local y su comité negociador de CWA si tienes preguntas. Recuerde que estamos visitando cada localidad y estamos disponibles para responder todas y cada una de sus dudas.

Your CWA Bargaining Team met today to work with the pending items. Due to an unexpected scheduling conflict, the parties were unable to meet, but we have kept the communication channels opened. Your team will meet again tomorrow as we prepare to our next bargaining session, which is now schedule for Wednesday July 3rd, 2019 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
