CWA's Speed Matters project, along with our partners, has recently updated its joint report Networking the Green Economy: How Broadband & Related Technologies Can Build a Green Economic Future.
Making high-speed Internet affordable and widely available to all Americans has growing importance to our nation's education, health care, and economic development where we live and especially rural communities. In support of that effort, CWA launched the Speed Matters campaign to make high-speed Internet available and affordable to all Americans. The Speed Matters website has numerous resources including an in-depth policy paper detailing the current state of broadband availability in the US, a fact-filled brochure, steps you can take to promote a better broadband policy in the US, plus much more. For regular updates, check the Speed Matters blog and sign up for regular campaign e-mail updates.
The Speed Matters website is also home to the Speed Test, a tool to test the speed of your own Internet connection so you can see how your connection compares to others in your community and across the nation.
