District 3 rallies in Birmingham Alabama to support our sisters and brothers nationwide
On Thursday, April 9th CWA District 3 Vice President Beverly Hicks and Administrative Director Booker T. Lester joined with the Alabama Local Presidents, members, retirees and CWA supporters in a lunchtime rally at the AT&T building in downtown Birmingham.
While negotiations in the Southeast are in recess CWA District continues to rally in support of those who continue to bargain against corporate greed in other places nationwide.
We recognize that AT&T while trying to take advantage of the current economy and demand that there be give backs at the bargaining table is overlooking the success of CWA members in making AT&T an extremely profitable corporation.
This rally and many more like it to be held in the future are intended to let the public know what AT&T is attempting to do to their employees, retirees and our communities in general.
